The journal browser provides quick insight into which journals a KNAW researcher can publish open access at no extra cost (which has been bought off in the KNAW-wide license). The agreements with Cambridge University Press, Elsevier, Springer and Wiley that the KNAW have been processed in the journal browser. You always have both reading and publishing access to these journals when you are at the Trippenhuis (or in an institute), via Citrix and also via VPN.

The journal browser works as follows:

look up a journal, for example Studies in Mycology (see example below). The Open access logo shows that you can publish in this journal without any extra cost.

If you search for Nature, it shows that there is no agreement, APCs will have to be paid for (gold) open access publishing.
